Smile.Because it really costs nothing.

Rule 1: Smile.
Rule 2: Smile more.
Rule 3: Smile the most.

I am attending a Youth Special Happiness Programme conducted by The Art of Living. It was the first day yesterday, and it was a wonderful experience.

There are some things in our life that we are already aware of and also know how they will help us, but we are just too lazy to try and implement them. The first thing that I learned yesterday was to SMILE :-).
Just a mere simple smile makes a huge difference. When there is no rule as to at what point of time in life and under what circumstances and situations is a person allowed to smile and be happy, then why are we not allowing ourselves to do so? Are we afraid of being happy? Of course not. Then why aren't we?
Weird,isn't it?

The reason why we are not happy is what the second thing I learned. Everybody has some kind of problems in their life because of which they are disturbed. The thing I learned is, it is in our own hands as to how much importance is to be given to them. For instance, when a child cries, sometimes,he just wants to seek attention and get pampered and nothing is actually bothering him. But we,thinking that he is in some kind of trouble, keep attending him. The more we do so, crankier the child gets. Same is with the problems in our life. We pay needless attention and make them larger than life. Yes,they exist in our life and have a negative impact, but we have an option. An option of overpowering them, an option to work out a way through them and an option to SMILE :-).

It is now when I truly understand that 'We are, indeed, responsible for our own happiness'. So let us try and make an effort to make our lives happier.

KEEP SMILING :-)
